TGIF!: Urge Overkill - The Break

Rush!

 I went and saw Rush at Red Rocks last night. They were powerful, complex, and tight. Worth every penny.

I went online and scheduled a donation pick-up with ARC thrift. They are the only ones I know that come to your house to pick up- I know Goodwill doesn't. So I have been going room to room gathering the unwanted. I pulled out the winter clothes, scarves, gloves, etc. It was on my to-do list to check out my fall/winter wardrobe and see what I need to get. I need warm, thick, boot socks, a new pair of black gloves (I lost my leather ones somewhere), and a black down-filled jacket. I can sell stuff at the estate sales I work but I can't look at it for that long- take it away!

This fanny pack is out of this world!

 I was super excited when I found this waist pack at the thrift store because I need to keep my phone and keys on me at all times at my cleaning gigs and I usually don't wear things with pockets. My boyfriend was making fun of it because it is a fanny pack so I decided to dress it up with a Polkanauts patch and my Barbarella pin- now it's cosmic rad!

Nice Day for a White Wedding

 Went to a wedding for John and Martha yesterday. Turned out to be a great day.

 The reception was at The Brown Palace Hotel- beautiful!

Iced Tea and Vitamin D

 July was a brutal month packed with gigs. I said yes to everything and made it through somehow. I have been longing for a day of nothing planned and today is the day. I laid out in the sun with a stack of new magazines and got inspired for fall. I am not a fan of week long vacations, I would rather have a few hours here and there of quality time.

 I made a privacy curtain out of a couple of flower pots, metal rods, soil and stones, twine, clothes pins, and a curtain. I don't know how private it is, people are dying to know what's behind it- peeking through the cracks.

Forty days left of summer. Take it in!
