Seize the Day

 I decorate a tree for my boyfriends' place since I am over there often. I put it up on Thanksgiving. He hates it when I decorate too early but you need to take advantage of the available time you have. I decorated 3 little trees and it took me 7-8 hours. December is hectic- I just want to get through it with less stress. Brendan sent me a text yesterday saying that he loved his tree.

 I love how J Crew incorporates home decor with fashion. They say that if you want to paint your walls but don't know what color, go to your closet and see what color you wear most.

 I love America's Test Kitchen. Love their recipes and product reviews. I decided to make cookies and used recipes from ATK. Sugar cookies, raspberry streusel bars, and chocolate chip oatmeal cookies.

I also made lemon bars but they didn't seem to hold up so well- very wet. I still took them to Thanksgiving because they were the most time consuming and tasted good.

No, I didn't finish rewriting my website but I did spend 5 hours making a new ipod song list and I raked the leaves. Both are very rewarding.

Waist Purse

I use a waist pack for my cleaning gigs. I keep my phone and keys on me at all times- i also hang rags on the strap. This is cute but it might be too baggy. Kinies on etsy- $38

Holiday Decorating

I usually decorate for Christmas way too early and then can't wait for it to be over. So this year I'm going to chill a bit. I do love the reindeer collection- may have to thrift some new old goodies tomorrow!!!!

What Was Me

 This used to be me: 2 Starbucks per day- now 1 every month and a half. Those shoes aren't for bike riding nor the jacket. If the purse doesn't have a long strap I won't use it- no more carrying. I heard a quote from Francis McDormand about 5 years ago that changed my view of fashion. She said, "Everyone should walk or ride a bike to work- you'd be amazed at how fashion would change."

Gift for You

 Last night Brendan and I were laughing about how unexciting my gifts to him are. They are usually useful or homemade- not a laptop. I did see this on Apartment Therapy and knew he would love this- subway, New York, map, curvy woman.
