I am trying to prepare myself for living in a smaller place. Right now I am in a 3 bedroom townhouse that is 1200 sq ft. I plan on cutting that in half. I want a smaller place- there is so much unused room here. Above is a picture of 350 sq ft apartment in New York that I saw on Apartment Therapy. Everything in the apartment needs to serve the space well.
High ceilings and large windows help in small spaces- a corner unit is a good idea.
I love that there are separate sections in one room- kitchen, living rm, office, and bedroom. I need a one bedroom place though- I don't want my bed in the main room no matter how cute I can make it.
