The International Furnishings and Design Association takes a survey once a decade all about how home life in America will change between now and 2020. These are the predictions:
- smaller spaces 76%
- no more dining rooms 71%
- separate rooms are disappearing 91.5%
- furniture will become increasingly multipurpose 65.7%
- eat in kitchens come back in style 65%
- master bedrooms have more uses than just sleeping 52.2%
- everyone has a home office 75%
- more high tech gadgets 97%
