I have been interested in simplifying my life these days. How much do I actually need to be happy? With my organizing business I get to see all the stuff people have accumulated and it causes so much unnecessary stress. I stumbled across this article of a woman who became homeless and her spending plan to get out of it. This is the list:
1. Phone- cheap disposable. Problem keeping it charged
2. Address- need to receive mail or give address for job. You can get a post office box or ask a friend if you can use their address
3. Shower- use locking bathrooms at gas stations or you can rent a shower at trucking stations. This would be the worst for me.
4. Backpack
5. Mylar Emergency Blanket
6. Bar Soap
7. Antiperspirant
8. Toothbrush
9. Hairbrush
10. Plastic Tarp
11. Clothing
12. Hats/ Gloves
13. Food
14. Watch/ Travel Alarm
15. Pepper Spray
So looking at the list the main priorities are eating, sleeping, grooming, safety, and warmth. Interesting.

I Love Map
I don't think I will ever get sick of maps as wall art. Brendans' bedroom.
My art room- I found a set of maps of each state at the thrift store. I covered the wall with them like wallpaper. I was missing 2 maps- Florida and California. The vacation states.
Here are a bunch of map photos from Design Sponge- enjoy!

9 Months of Trailer
9 months ago I bought this trailer off of craigslist. I came up with the idea of doing green housekeeping by bicycle. So far so good. The trailer has changed a bit.
I made a more durable tarp cover to keep it waterproof.
I lined the bottom because of street slush- especially in the Spring.
I kept the middle divider because it holds my cleaning caddy upright.
I then put reflective tape on the trailer because it was getting dark at 4:30 for awhile and cars weren't able to see me. That was a bad idea. The reflective tape did not want to stay on the tarp- it all rolled off.
This is the latest! I found vintage curtains at the thrift store but it wasn't waterproof so I covered it with a shower liner. I sewed in pieces of cardboard to keep it smooth and flat- I need to worry about how much weight I am adding.
I even covered the seat since I had 2 curtains. I lined the bottom with a vintage table cover.
The reflectors are inside the plastic cover- solved the problem of them falling off.
New vacuum also- now I have 2! I am not gonna lie to you- the electric blue color sold me.

Idea
I wanted a new trailer because the one I have is getting beaten up. Instead I came up with the idea of making covers for the one I already have. While I was making it, I kept thinking of the purse I had in the 80's with the reversible covers- same concept. When I am bored with this trailer cover, I can just make another. I already have the fabric picked out.

Spring Fever
The weather has been so nice lately- it gets me in the mood for Spring but I know terrible snow storms are coming. March is usually brutal. Flowers- Nate Duvall
